My grand-daughters had a fall from her bike recently. Her injury was a scrape almost like a burn. It hurt her quite a bit. My daughter and I washed the scrape with soap and water and then applied Neosporin Foaming Liquid Antiseptic. There was no sting and we felt assured that germs were being killed as the foaming action verified this. This accident occurred a week ago and her "ouwey" has completely healed!

Good product

We've been using Neosporin for decades (with good results) and I'm glad to see a version specifically for kids (AKA, no sting variety).

As opposed to the typical cream version, this is a pump bottle that dispenses a (temporary) foam version of the medicine. When the foam breaks down, there is a residual liquid that is easily moved around (without touching the injury, if desired). We're not talking shaving cream type foam, this variety breaks down in a few seconds to a thin liquid.

I'd have to use the entire container to see if there is more (or less) than the cream style, but I'm tempted to say there's more in this foam version.

Also, when it comes to kids, the less "drama" a product creates, the less "drama" the child tends to exhibit. Using a small amount of foam vs. wiping a cream into an injury, or using a loud aerosol spray (which tends to startle the child) is, in my opinion, a far better solution (not to mention the "no sting" aspect). Kudos to Neosporin for the idea!

And, BTW, I see no reason that this "kid" version of the medication can't also be used effectively by adults - it's going straight into our medicine cabinet.

Bottom line, would I recommend it - absolutely.

Good old NEOSPORIN, but better.

This product works great. I got this item to use for my 6 year old. We have used this product about 8 times now. It comes out foamy and1 pump is plenty. My little one said it doesn't burn when put on his cuts and scrapes. The bottle is a good size and should last us a long time. There is no scent to the product. I like that I'm able to easily clean cuts and scrapes on my little one without any crying about pain. I am very pleased with this item and I do recommend it. I am loving these free product review packages.
I have been using Neosporin for years,
Hopefully I will not be using this cute little 
package anytime soon. However if need be 
I will have it on hand. I can trust that this product 
will do it's intended job. I would most certainly 
recommend having this product on hand in case 
of accidents. I will be placing this product in my
 emergency kit that I have in my diaper bag.

Awesomeness!

I have always loved this product! It cleans my children's boo boo's without a mess, and it is very convenient. My kids are very impatient and don't want to stay still, so this product is very good how quick it is to use and it eases my mind about infections. Doesn't sting my kids either. Love this product!

So easy to use and non messy!

I received this Neosporin Wound Cleanser For Kids To Help Kill Bacteria just in time. My almost 3 yr old grand daughter skinned her when playing at Preschool and wouldn't let anyone touch the scrape. I brought her home, showed her how it foamed up, and let her push the dispenser to cover the wound, and then she was able to pat it dry. I of course followed up with the ointment of the same name, bandaged it, and it healed up very nicely. I would recommend this to anyone with small children who won't let anyone touch their cuts and scrapes.

More healing, less screaming!

The kids and myself are always getting cuts and scrapes. I do a lot of DIY projects, so I am always cutting or scraping my hands and am using a lot of different anti-bacteria ointments.

The typical ointment I use is the slimy and messy tube of petro-jelly with anti-bacteria. This Neosporin ointment comes out in an easy to apply pump action and it applies to your skin as a foam that after a minute reduces down to just a glazed liquid. 

It is then very easy to apply a band-aid without the slime and mess of the petro-jelly on your fingers.

Even though this is for Kids, I would recommend for anyone that wants an easier way to clean a wound and apply anti-bacterial ointment.

Great way to apply wound cleanser

The best feature about this cleanser is the foaming. It's easy to apply on a toddler because they like the foam and aren't afraid of it like other medicines. Once you use the foam it will run a little. However, this is a wound cleanser not the ointment type of Neosporin. I only had the chance to use this once, but after one time using it on the injury and putting a band aid, it healed right up and did not get infected. Since I have this foam and the ointment, I used the foam to cleanse the wound and then applied the ointment and the band aid. Neosporin of some type is definitely a staple in my home and should be in all homes, especially if you have little ones.

Kid Approved; a bit runny

If you have kids, you need to have this in your bag and medicine cabinet! I started using this last summer. We spend lots of days at the park and it never fails, someone skins a knee or scrapes a finger. This cleaner is a foam when you apply it and it does not sting, so the kids don't mind getting cleaned up. It is the perfect size to keep in a diaper bag, purse or your pocket so you can fix that boo-boo and get right back to playing! If you check out my photo, you see 2 bottles which includes the one I keep in our bag when we go to the park ( of course we use it at home, too, but it's great for small outdoor trips like the park) Here is the greatest Mom Tip: I keep a cotton pad and a band-aid in the cap so that I can clean, treat and bandage all in one stop! It's a first aid kit you can keep in your pocket!

You Need This!

Neosporin Wound Cleanser is a foaming first aid antiseptic liquid that can be used to cleanse wounds. It comes in a convenient 2.3-ounce bottle and little bit goes a long way. It only takes one to two pumps to cleanse small to medium wounds. While the packaging states that it is “no sting”, this is only true when used on superficial wounds. For deeper wounds or deep abrasions, Neosporin Wound Cleanser stings just a little bit. I actually prefer this wound cleanser to the likely alternatives of using soap and water, hydrogen peroxide, or alcohol (burns really burns). I also like that it contains no antibiotics. Neomycin is a known allergen which is used in many antibiotic ointments and creams today. To me, less is more. All in all, I really liked this product and plan on keeping it in stock at home with the other first aid products that I have on hand.

Neosporin Wound Cleanser

Although I love and trust the Neosporin brand, this product is not one I will use in the future. The foaming attribute of the product is messy- very messy. I like that the product is “non stinging” (ouch less) and that it cleans minor wounds. Using a “squirty” kind of wound cleaner, I can put something under the wound to catch the excess liquid; but the foam sits on the wound and SLOWLY turns into liquid- and gets dripped everywhere! Kids don't sit still long enough for the foam to turn liquid and for me to catch the excess. If Neosporin made this exact product as a spray or squirt (instead of foam), I would purchase.
